From white to Manhattan Grey. What a difference.
This customer had white sealant in a grey shower. When replacing the sealant, we also changed the colour to Manhattan Grey, to match the tiles.
The same shower, with joints that blend into the tiling. See the result in the video.

What we seal in the bathroom
We work neatly and leave the workspace tidy.
Loose or cracked sealant can let water behind a joint. Discolouration alone does not mean it leaks. We assess the joint, remove old sealant where needed and apply a neat new finish.
We finish the visible joints around showers, baths, basins, floors and sanitary fittings with suitable premium sanitary sealant. The waterproofing behind the tiles also needs to be sound.
Shower sealing
Neat joints around shower floors, walls, trays, profiles and drains. We follow the installation instructions and keep drainage openings clear. Not every gap should be sealed.
Bath sealing
A carefully applied joint along the bath helps keep water from getting behind the visible edge.
Sink & vanity
A neat, easy-to-clean joint between the basin, vanity and wall.
Toilet
No gaps where dirt settles. We finish the connection to wall or floor neatly.
Replace old sealant
When replacing sealant, we remove the old material carefully, clean the bonding surfaces with a suitable cleaner and prepare them for the new sealant.
Colour matching for your job
We bring different colours and choose a shade to suit the tiles, grout and fittings. An exact match is not always possible, but we look for the best combination.

Eye for detail
We see sealant work as design. Clean lines that complete your bathroom.
Quality
A neatly shaped sanitary joint is easier to keep clean and dry. Suitable sealant, good preparation and maintenance go together.
2-year warranty
A warranty on the workmanship and adhesion of the sealant we apply.
Why material choice matters in the bathroom
We choose premium sanitary sealant to suit the surface, moisture, movement and finish. One product does not suit every joint.
Colour and appearance
We choose a suitable colour and finish. Sanitary sealant can still discolour through use and maintenance. Discolouration alone does not mean the joint leaks.
Mould-resistant
Mould-resistant does not mean mould-free. We use suitable sanitary sealant and shape the joint so water can run off. Rinse away soap, use a suitable mild cleaner, dry the edges and ventilate well.
Design choice
We match the colour and sheen to the tiles, grout and fittings as closely as possible.
Natural stone
For marble or hardstone, we choose sealant suited to that stone. Cleaners, primers and finishing agents must also be compatible. This helps reduce the risk of staining along the joint.
When should sealant be replaced?
Sealant needs maintenance. Have loose or cracked joints checked. Persistent stains or a sticky surface also deserve a closer look, but do not automatically mean the joint leaks.
Mould or discolouration: spots that remain after suitable mild cleaning are a reason to have the joint checked.
Separation: sealant pulls away from tile or bath.
Cracks: the joint is damaged. We look at movement, adhesion and how the joint was formed.
Changes to the sealant: persistent discolouration or a sticky surface. Check the cause before deciding what is needed.

I see black dots in my sealant. Do I need to replace it?
Not straight away. Black spots do not automatically mean the joint leaks. First clean it with a suitable mild cleaner. If the marks remain or mould is embedded in the sealant, we assess whether replacement is needed. Send photos if you are unsure.
Can I shower the same day?
We normally plan at least 24 hours without water exposure. Longer may be needed depending on the sealant, joint and conditions. A dry skin does not mean the joint is fully cured. We give you advice for your bathroom after the job.
Do you have matte colors?
We have different colours and matte shades. The right colour and sealant depend on the application and surface.
Do I get a warranty?
You get a 2-year warranty on the workmanship and adhesion of sealant applied by De Kitbaas. When you report an issue, we first assess the cause. If it falls under warranty, we repair the affected sealant work at no charge.
Send clear overview and close-up photos and your location via WhatsApp. We assess the work and confirm a fixed project price for the agreed job before starting. You usually do not need to measure it yourself.
